Internship Announcement: International Risk Management
Location: Stockholm
Reports to: Dominic Bowen, Head of Strategic Advisory Services
Position Type: Full-time, temporary position.
Job Purpose: Join 2Secure’s dynamic international operations team in Stockholm and kickstart your career at Europe’s leading risk management consulting firm.
As an intern you will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of our international work including geopolitical, risk, and trend analysis. This involves delivering advanced international risk services and strategic advice to Europe’s top companies. You will play an integral role in our team and work in close collaboration with our analysts and senior risk professionals.
The intern will have a supervisor and receive ongoing support and mentoring throughout the internship.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead international research projects.
- Analyse potential business opportunities.
- Contribute to systems strengthening and validation of risk models.
- Assist with development of client presentations.
- Develop risk products including country and thematic analysis.
- Participate in international partner vetting and due diligence activities.
- Conduct client and competitor analysis.
- Lead the development of marketing materials and reports such as newsletters, as well as the Global Risk Monitoring and Strategic Foresight reports.
Skills and qualifications:
- Pursuing a master’s degree in Security Studies, Political Science, International Business, or related.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work independently and execute multiple tasks under time pressure.
- Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Familiarity with ISO 31000 or other related risk management standards is desirable.
The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for international relations and affairs. Prior experience in international risk management is not required, but an understanding of risk management processes is advantageous.

We are flexible on internship length and timing and will be able to offer the right candidate either a full time or part time internship depending on preferences.
This internship is unpaid, with the expectation that the internship will provide the right candidate with the skills necessary to pursue paid employment in a variety of industries at the completion of the internship.
